The girls of the Tèt Ansanm Leadership Group for Girls have chosen to examine climate justice this year. From climate migration to remembering ancestral practices, they are selecting the areas they wish to include in their presentation in June.

 

TurningWheel Founder, Abigail Ramsay, has taken the role of Director of the work created during the Kids Creative Collective’s Saturday Conservatory! The creation process has been thrilling and the story has been wild. More soon as we complete our script!

 

On June 15th 2024, the girls of the Tet Ansanm Leadership for Girls presented their first public performance! 

Once a week since the beginning of the year, the girls and young women of the Tet Ansanm Leadership Group for Girls at Flanbwayan Haitian Literacy Project explored collective cultural MEMORY, the EMOTION of leaving home, and a CELEBRATION of life. These lovely young people have participated with TurningWheel for two years, bringing a familiarity as they embarked on this new adventure.
